Business English II Course overview This course is a business English course at intermediate (B2-C1 CEFR: Common European Framework of Reference) level for business people. The module consists of 6 units based on topics of great interest to everyone involved in international business. The course combines online learning with three virtual classes. These classes are meant to practice communication skills in the English language while discussing relevant topics. Participants Business English II is a short but intensive training course for those already working who want to improve their English communication skills. Learning aspects The course will greatly improve your ability to communicate in English in a wide range of business situations. Learning materials The course is based on the course books Market Leader Business Grammar and Usage and Market Leader New Edition Intermediate Business English Practice file and is supported by the virtual learning environment Moodle. Tasks and assignments are listed in Moodle, such as reading a few chapters from the book, submitting assignments, doing grammar, writing, listening and speaking exercises, quizzes and much more. The course ends with an exit test. Course length The course is split into 6 blocks and we estimate that you will need about 3 - 6 months (3 - 5 hours a week) to study the course materials, complete the various activities, prepare the assignments and follow up on the feedback provided by your online teacher. However, there are no time limits or deadlines so you can take as much time as you need. The initial enrolment period will be set to one year, but can be extended if necessary. Personal tutor An experienced online teacher will support you throughout the programme. You work at your own pace and place and at regular intervals in the course you will find assignments to complete and send to your teacher. If you have any questions about the material or the assignments, you can always ask your teacher.
