The training in Technical English developed for technical or practical employees who regularly use general and technical English. This includes professions in production, IT, construction, metal, technology, security, logistics, agriculture, etc. Whether you're a mechanic, installer, machine operator, or security guard, this training will help you!

Objective

After the training, you will be able to communicate better and with more confidence in English, both orally and in writing, in the situations that are important for your work.

Learning Materials

We use our own materials, AI tools, and the virtual learning environment Moodle. We can use additional books or resources that suit your sector if desired.

Content

During the training, we cover topics such as: • Listening and speaking at the workplace • Reading and understanding technical documentation • Language of instructions • Language of numbers and measurement • Technical communication and linguistic forms • General and specialized technical vocabulary • Basic telephoning and email writing • Basic grammar In addition, we can also include topics such as reading manuals, diagrams, technical equipment, and describing processes and systems in the training. Your own professional jargon plays a central role in this.

Approach

The training is fully customised and tailored to your learning goals, level, work situation, and schedule. The meetings, content, and frequency are flexible and can occur online and on-site in Venhuizen. Each session lasts about 1½ hours. Between meetings, you work on assignments in the online learning environment (Moodle) or practice with AI tools.

Format

The lessons are suitable for individual students (private lessons) or small groups. The lessons are varied and interactive, using AI and online tools. You actively engage in speaking and listening exercises, dictations, puzzles, games, and many other activities. Each program contains the most essential grammar and jargon, tailored to your work field.

Costs

The costs for this training are €325.00 per 3 sessions of 1½ hour (per person, private lesson). This includes: • Learning materials • Personal study guidance • Access to the electronic learning environment for up to 1 month after completion • Certificate of participation (if desired) VAT exemption applies.
